I know today should be a coding day! I messed up the schedule, please forgive me. Let’s pull out the journal again and write about our why. You may be asking yourself, ” Our why for what?” It’s simple. The why for learning to code! Why do you want to do this? It is really important that we hash this out now and put our sentiments on paper. However, this journal entry is one you will revisit when the path to breaking into tech seems daunting and unattainable.
Write about your WHY

For me, my why is to change roles in my curet career field. Right now I work in the Health Industry and see many ways that knowing to code would make projects more efficient and data review more seamless. I also want to increase my salary to finally pay of my student loans this year. The story of Lidia from Poderosa Coding, who paid off her student loans, is really inspiring. Check out her blog when you get the chance.
Writing Prompts:
- What is your why for learning to code?
- What is one task you will do everyday to remind you about your why?
- Create a 6 month and 12 month timeline for your coding learning plan
That is it for today, see you tomorrow for day 6!
