Welcome back to day four of the #BlackCode28, Black History Month 28 day challenge. Today is a journal day. Let’s be honest with our feeling and write about our current career path. How do you feel about the trajectory of your career at this moment?
Are you Unhappy?
If you are unhappy, now is the time to take ownership of your career and change it! It is possible. We will no longer sit back and watch people on YouTube or Instagram live the life we wish we had. After all, it may not be what it seems.

Grab your journal and your beverage of choice. Write down your thoughts and feelings to the following questions.
Journal Prompts:
- What do you envision for your future career?
- How will learning to code help with your future career?
- Do you believe that you can change the current trajectory of your life and career?
Take a few moments in between writing to visual what you want. Then put it on paper! Also check in with your mindset and be aware of lingering negative thoughts. Feel free to set a timer for your journaling time. Or just write your heart out! The more we check in with our mindset on the path to a career in tech, the easier it will be when dealing with Imposter Syndrome…more about that later in the month.
See you tomorrow for day 5!
