Welcome back for day 11 of the #blackcode28 Black History Month 28 day challenge. Today is a coding day!
When creating a site about time periods in history or historical figures, it is really important to have credible sources.

Finding credible sources does not really mean searching wikipedia and that is the end for the search. Let’s try to use books from the library. A lot of libraries have ebook available to check out now and even before the pandemic. Also don’t forget documentaries. You can find some really old ones on YouTube or even PBS.org.
Wherever your search takes you make sure to note the author. You can add their information as a comment in your code or as a caption under a picture like the one above.
Finding credible sources shouldn’t be a daunting task. Let’s say you did an interview with your great grandfather about his life growing up in New Orleans. You may add photos of him on your site and a voice recording sound bite. Then add his name as the source because he is sharing his personal story. And could write something such as “As Told By Mr. Phillip Bailey”.
I hope this was helpful. I am still learning how to do all of this too as a newbie coder. But we are in this together!
See you tomorrow.
